Citron | No such word in Portuguese. However, the East Indians in BG would know of the citron tree which bears a fruit similar to a lemon but less tart. It seems that Maria Teresa used the word to describe either that fruit or other tart fruits like “cherries”, limes, lemons and soon. | |
