Trifle (Delma Gomes)
6 slices cake
6 rounds pineapple or other fruit


Jam
½ pint custard
1 glass rum or sherry
Walnuts
  1. Spread cake with jam, and then cut into cubes.
  2. Place these in 6 individual glasses.
  3. Pour rum or sherry over each.
  4. Shred pineapple and place over cakes.
  5. Cover with a layer of custard and top with walnuts.
