Italian Meat Balls (Gene Watkinson)
MEAT BALLS


Fresh parsley to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
1 clove garlic
2 lbs minced meat
Salt and black pepper to taste
4 eggs
5 hot dog rolls – grated
SAUCE


2 tbsp fresh parsley diced
2 cans tomato sauce
¼ tsp oregano
½ tbsp of fat from frying pan
4 leaves basil
¼ tsp pepper
2 bay leaves
1 clove garlic in 4 pieces

2 cans tomato paste
Salt to taste
1 cup water

  1. Mix, mould and fry the meatballs in the olive oil..
  2. Leave 1 ½ tbsp fat from meatballs in the pan and fry the sauce ingredients.
  3. Place in saucepan and heat. Add the meatballs and simmer for 2 hours on low heat.
