Humus (Fay Anne de Freitas)
2 large cloves of garlic
A cup of parsley leaves – no stalks

1 can 19 fl. oz. Chick Peas
4 Roasted tomatoes (optional)
A drizzle of olive oil

Juice of 1 lemon
1 cup creamy peanut butter
Fresh ground salt/pepper
  1. Combine the chopped cloves of garlic, parsley, chick peas, olive oil and lemon juice into a blender.
  2. Blend at medium, pushing the chick peas to the bottom with a rubber spatula.
  3. When blended, add the peanut butter and re-blend.
  4. Finally, add the roasted tomatoes (optional) and blend on slow.
  5. If the mixture is too thick, additional olive oil in small amounts can be added until the desired consistency is achieved.

Humus with Red Peppers (Fay Anne de Freitas)
2 large cloves of garlic
1/3 cup of Tahini

1 can 19 fl. oz. Chick Peas
½ cup of roasted red peppers

¼ cup of dried basil
1/3 cup of lemon juice
  1. Combine the cloves of garlic, the chick peas, tahini, and the lemon juice into a food processor.
  2. Blend at medium, pushing the chick peas to the bottom with a rubber spatula.
  3. When blended, add the peppers and basil and re-blend until the peppers are finely chopped.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve immediately or store in fridge or freezer.
