Frigidaire Cake (Delma Gomes)
½ lb butter
4 egg yolks/whites
1 env Knox gelatin
1 cup sugar
Juice of 1 lemon
1 bottle whipping cream  
Grated rind of 2 lemons
1 tin crushed pineapple
2 layers sponge cake
1. Mix the butter, sugar, egg yolks and lemon juice together.
2. Melt the gelatin in 3 tbsp of hot water and add it to the mixture.
3. Drain the pineapple and add the pulp to the mixture.
4. Beat the egg yolks with some sugar until stiff and add to the mixture.
5. Layer the mixture on the bottom of a cake tin.
6. Cover with a sponge layer.
7. Repeat and finish with a layer of mixture.
8. Place in the fridge to set.
9. When firm, turn onto a plate and cover with whipping cream
