Custard - for Eclairs, cakes, buns etc. (Delma Gomes)
½ cup milk
2 flat dsp flour

Vanilla essence
2 flat dsp sugar
2 egg yolks or 1 whole egg
  1. Heat the milk with a drop of vanilla essence.
  2. In a small pan, mix the egg, flour and sugar.
  3. Pour the hot milk onto the mixture and reheat, stirring all the time until it thickens.
  4. Give it a final good beating before using.

Custard  (Delma Gomes)
4 eggs
1 tin of water

4 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tin of milk
  1. Heat the milk and water with the vanilla essence.
  2. Mix the eggs and sugar. Combine with the milk mixture, stirring.
  3. Bake at 375F/190C until thick but not solid.
