Coconut Macaroons [12] (Delma Gomes)
¼ cup condensed milk
1 egg white beaten stiff


1 cup shredded coconut
¼ tsp vanilla

1. Mix condensed milk, vanilla and coconut and then fold in the egg white.
2. When thoroughly mixed, drop teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
3. Bake until lightly browned.

Makes 1 dozen.

Coconut Macaroons (Maria Teresa Faria de Freitas)
1 can condensed milk      
Few grains of salt
½ lb dry shredded coconut
¼ tsp vanilla


Mix all ingredients until very stiff. Make small balls. Place them on a well-buttered sheet. Bake until brown.
