2 cups sifted cake flour 1 1/3 cups sugar 2 eggs 1 cup nuts chopped (opt) | 1 tsp baking soda ½ cup softened shortening 3 squares unsweetened melted chocolate | ¾ tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla 1 cup milk |

6 eggs 2 ½ cups of flour 2 cups of sugar | 1 cup of water ½ lb margarine ¾ cup of cocoa | |
1 Blend sugar and margarine until smooth. 2 Add eggs and continue beating. 3 Add cocoa and fold in water, and then flour. 4 Grease and flour baking pans and place mixture in them. 5 Cook for approximately 20 minutes at 350F |
